Unfortunately, my camera wasn't working when Lauren, Dacia, Alex, Allison, and myself all went to the hot springs on Saturday morning. The pictures would have been commical though! We all met around 10:30am and took the 45 minute drive north to the hot springs. From the highway, it's about a mile hike UP the side of a mountain. It's a well-used trail, however, it was covered in nothing but pure ICE. We made it eventually to the 3 man-made pools of steaming hot water. Don't forget, this place isn't called Skinnydipper for nothin'! What is it about being old and naked?! Why can't there be young, rich, good-looking stallions waiting... ANYWAY!!
We relaxed in the pool for about 2 hours before attempting the slow hike back down. We ended up sliding down on our bums for a few parts because it was so darn slick. We got back to town in the late afternoon and everyone was exhausted! I dropped Lauren off & took a short nap at home to recharge.
When I woke, I went to Allison's and got the first saga of the Twilight series. The book is 500+ pages, and I read 150 pages the first night. It's amazing!! I read another 100 pages last night, and I brought it to the coffee shop with me this morning to read during the slow times....
My girlfriend, Nicole, invited me to go to church with her on Sunday. I decided to 'turn a new leaf' and go. Its been about 5 years since I've been to church, so I was a little unsure about my decision until I got there. In fact, I think I'll start going more often. I'm not going for the "hallelujah" and all that hoop-la... I'm going to learn about life lessons and how I can apply them to my life.

awww... i wish i would have been able to go to the hot springs :( Hey Nicole invited me to go to church too, but it was at our birthday party, so she might not remember :) I want to go with too next time!
Sounds like you had a great time at the hot springs! And I can just see you all sliding the hill on your booties!!!...As for Twilight- it only gets better!!! :) I'm glad you started it though so we can talk about it. In fact, I think once I finish the series I want to go see the movie. Maybe we can make it a big girls night for all of us "late-bloomers."
Skinnydipper with a full moon or a light snow has long been on my to-do list!
